费曼身上有哪些吾们英语学习者值得学习的地方?

这个月读书训练营读 Surely, You're Not Joking Mr. Feynman! 讲的是费曼的故事,稀奇喜欢。

最大的感受是他不会讲本身获得了什么收获,有众牛x,而是讲他在什么时候发现了什么题目、本身做了什么、有什么感悟。

吾们能从中得到的启发是学习口语,必定要有「范儿」。张口那一刻就把本身当作是外语为母语者,fake it till you make it。技巧上,吾们先把一些最常见最实用的外达练益,发音不消众精准,但要有内味,也就是语言的节奏、重音和语调。当吾们有了几个如许听首来奇异域道的说法,吾们就会更自夸更情愿尝试其他的说法。

5)They didn’t put two and two together. They didn’t even know what they “knew.” I don’t know what’s the matter with people: they don’t learn by understanding; they learn by some other way—by rote, or something. Their knowledge is so fragile!

费曼在一个访谈中说 I learned very early the difference between knowing the name of something and knowing something。

他说学习要靠「理解」,知其以是然,而不光是物化记硬背概念。费曼的平素风格是不会花太众功夫在各栽术语上——术语命名是为了便于吾们和他人疏导,但从学习的角度望,清新是什么、为什么更主要。

拿英语学习来讲,很众英语行家会提出不要太纠结语法术语。吾们从幼到大学了一堆什么XX从句、不定式、倒装句型......却很少能用最一般的话说出它们是什么、为什么、有什么用。吾们也会入神于一些听首来很严害的概念,比如「英语思想」「后部发声法」,也会不自愿的主动行使这些概念,但很少主动用最浅易的话定义这些概念。

清新一只鸟在差别语言中的名字,又能如何?分分钟就能够解决。但吾们若是从来异国不益看察过一只鸟,吾们其实并不克说本身「清新」。

末了费曼往买了两桶漆,用原形言语。画家调了半天颜色也不黄,他说吾得添点黄色进往才走。费曼说那你望,你这不照样添了黄色才调成了黄色,而不是只用红白调出来?说到这画家就走了。

接下来费曼并异国得理不饶人自鸣得意,而是分享他的心路历程。他说吾很确定吾是对的,但同时吾也会稀奇憧憬有不料发生。倘若红白实在能调出黄色,那就有有趣了!那吾就有机会思考为什么会呢?逆思本身是不是有什么盲区?

在他身上望到了闪着光的益奇和自夸。
